Archery is one of the oldest disciplines in human history. It demands stillness, precision, consistency, and the ability to perform under pressure. Every principle of great archery maps directly onto the principles of great leadership — and nowhere more precisely than at the anchor point.
Why Archery?
The anchor point in archery is the exact spot where the archer's draw hand comes to rest against the face — jaw, cheekbone, corner of the mouth — at full draw, every single time. It is not approximate. It is not close enough. It is the same, repeatable position that makes consistent, accurate shooting possible.
Without an anchor point, every shot is a guess. The archer may have strength, a quality bow, and good arrows — but without that fixed, repeatable reference point, accuracy is impossible to sustain. The same is true of leadership. Without a fixed anchor — a set of non-negotiable principles, values, and practices — leaders drift. They perform inconsistently. They cannot be trusted to hit the same mark twice.

Stance
In Archery
The archer establishes a stable, balanced foundation before anything else. Feet shoulder-width apart, body perpendicular to the target, weight evenly distributed.

Anchor
In Archery
The draw hand comes to the same exact point on the face at full draw — the anchor point. This is the non-negotiable reference that makes everything else consistent.
